CINCINNATI —
Metro’s Strategic Transit Engagement to Expand Ridership (STEER) Advisory Committee will host an open house on April 11, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Metro Access Eligibility Center at 7000 Montgomery Rd Silverton, OH 45236. The open house aims to engage with interested community members, answer questions, and interview potential new STEER members.

The STEER Advisory Committee comprises individuals who possess knowledge and experience with Metro services, as well as an understanding of community needs, safety concerns, and values. While the Steer Committee does not resolve individual complaints or set regulations or policy, the committee’s role does review and provide input and insights to the overall operations, service planning, community engagement, and local and regional planning efforts of Metro.

“The STEER committee serves as the eyes and ears of our transit system,” said Brandy Jones, Metro’s Chief External Affairs Officer. By actively engaging with the public, the committee ensures Metro is prepared to meet the evolving needs of the community.”

Metro and the STEER Advisory Committee encourages all community members, transit riders, and stakeholders to attend the open house. Metro believes that by collaborating intentionally and strategically with the public, we can work towards creating a more efficient, accessible, and inclusive transit system that meets the needs of our growing community.
